Understanding your water provider

If you are a Rous customer, we read your water meter and issue your quarterly water bill every three months. If your water supply is provided by your local council, please contact them with any enquiries.

What’s on your water bill?

Your water bill displays the property details, your water meter number, the previous and current readings, the billing period, and the total number of kilolitres consumed in that time.

Pensioner concession rebates

Eligible pensioners can claim concession rebates on the water account for their primary residence.

Under the Local Government Act 1993, eligible pensioners are entitled to receive an annual rebate of up to $87.50 off their water account(s).

Rebates are available to eligible pensioners who are liable for rates and charges and where the subject property is the principal place of residence.

If the property is jointly owned, each eligible pensioner needs to complete and submit the Pensioner Concession Application form to ensure the maximum pensioner concession rebate is applied to each water account.

If you would like to apply for the annual rebate, please read the Pensioner Concession Guidelines prior to completing the Pensioner Concession Application form. A clear photocopy of the concession card must accompany the completed application form when it is returned to our office.
