Rous is pleased to announce that a works to repair a major water main that was damaged during the 2022 floods are complete.

During the floods, a landslip damaged Rous’ pipeline in Wyrallah that provides drinking water to customers in the Richmond Valley region.

The project repaired 150-meters of pipeline, which is once again providing high-quality and reliable drinking water to Rous’ direct water customers.

It also provided the opportunity to install resilient materials by replacing old concrete pipes with steel – strengthening Rous’ water network, particularly during severe weather events.

The $769,000 project was funded through the 2022 Flood Recovery Program and delivered by NSW Public Works.

Rous would like to thank NSW Public Works and NSW Reconstruction Authority for helping to repair, rebuild and improve flood damaged infrastructure in the Northern Rivers.
